Meet our Head of Growth in the US – Keith Messer.
Say hello to our new US Head of Growth, Keith Messer, a commercially driven leader with deep expertise across B2B marketing, sales and global business growth. From early beginnings at Siemens to leading international teams and driving major agency expansion, Keith’s career has been shaped by building strong partnerships and scaling success. Now at Fox Agency, he’s focused on growing our presence in North America and unlocking new opportunities. So, without further ado, let’s spend five minutes with Keith.
Tell us about your career before you joined Fox Agency.
If we’re starting at the very beginning, my interest in advertising took hold early on as a kid watching Super Bowl commercials and thinking how cool it would be to be part of the teams who come up with those for a living!
Origin stories aside, I started off in corporate marketing at Siemens working under truly legendary B2B marketing leaders who made time for me as a junior on the team in ways which I still try to pay forward today.
My jump to B2B sales then began in the staffing industry, where what initially started off as a box-check on my resume quickly turned into where I successfully cut my teeth building strategic partnerships with enterprise clients.
From there I entered the marketing data management space with DSI where I spent over a decade rising from an individual seller to running their global sales and marketing teams. My time there entailed leading the global expansion of the business and launch of multiple SaaS products on the road to their eventual acquisition.
It was then the offer to step into a global sales and marketing role in the B2B agency space with Ledger Bennett came through, so I metaphorically high-fived my 12-year-old self and jumped in with both feet. I’m proud of the work the Ledger Bennett team and I accomplished and the exponential expansion of the business we were able to drive during my tenure, which directly led to their acquisition by Havas.
What excited you about the role with Fox Agency?
No matter who I spoke with about Fox Agency prior to joining, everything came back to the quality of the people and culture in the business. Coupled with the exceptional work being produced for blue-chip clients in B2B tech, I see Fox as a team with all the ingredients for strong global growth, and I’m excited for what’s to come…
What does your new role as Head of Growth for the US involve?
As the title implies, my focus will be on spreading the good news of Fox Agency to grow awareness in North America (and beyond). I’ll also be partnering with our talented internal teams to uncover new strategic partnership opportunities with leading B2B tech brands, orchestrate impactful pitches and secure new client wins.
What has been your biggest professional achievement to date?
While the two exits in a roughly three-year span are a nice feather in my cap, the real answer is the community of industry peers I’ve gained over the years and the ongoing support we’ve provided each other as clients and friends.
Finally, tell us something interesting or unique about yourself?
I was working from home before it was cool, having worked almost entirely as a remote employee for the last 20+ years. It’s a way of working I embrace as a feature offering balance while I’m wearing multiple hats and partnering with multi-regional colleagues and client-side teams – where collaboration often takes place on either side of the typical 9-5.
