Breaking back into in-person events with TechEx London

Great to be back at an in-person event, immersing ourselves in the hustle and bustle of networking and tech expertise.

Tech Expo

Meeting and greeting, shaking hands, and exchanging cards was a welcome change from the past year.

It was great to be back at an in-person event where we could really immerse ourselves in the hustle and bustle of networking and learn from the technology experts at TechEx Global. The event boasted top-level content and thought leadership discussions across co-located events covering IoT, Blockchain, AI & Big Data, and Cyber Security and Cloud.

Looking back…

Let’s start from the beginning, day one. It was so exciting to walk into an event with our passes around our necks, notebooks in hand, and our agenda ready to start the day. It was great to see so many stands covering a plethora of different industries and interactive exhibits of future technology. As we explored this tech theme park, we gained an insight into what amazing steps forward technology has taken since lockdown. Did you know that the forecasted market growth for technology will grow to an astounding 6.5% in 2022?

We filled our day listening to various speakers across the different events, and it became apparent that each sector was dealing with similar challenges and successes to one another.

IoT Tech Expo Global comprises IT professionals looking to learn about innovations that will hand them a competitive advantage, improve CX, increase operational efficiencies, reduce costs and drive revenue growth. After listening to each speaker, it became clear that one key concern kept cropping up in each discussion: security.

However, this key challenge differed greatly in the Blockchain Expo series, as security is an area of strength. Instead, the discussions focused on the fear of regulation and compliance. Interactive panel discussions, expert keynotes, and solution-based case studies explored the key industries disrupted the most by this new technology. These included legal sectors, retail, financial services, healthcare, insurance, energy, music, government, real estate, and more.

The AI & Big Data conference was filled to the brim with forward-thinking brands, market leaders, evangelists, and hot start-ups. Listening to the debates about the recent advancements within the enterprise and consumer sectors and digital transformation opportunities provided great insight into the development of AI.

And finally, everyone’s favourite, the Cyber Security and Cloud Expo. Again, the speakers were super informative on expanding knowledge and gaining security skills needed to steer your organisation to a more secure future. A day of familiar faces…

Day two comprised of similarly good stuff from all the conferences, and we were also pleased to meet some familiar faces. It was fantastic to see our client Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise exhibiting and watch Healthcare Sales Director, Neal Humphrey, participate in a lively discussion about IoT-enabled digital transformation. In addition, we also had the pleasure of catching Vertical Account Manager Jay Ouwehand’s presentation on how IoT-driven digital transformation is made possible.

It was brilliant to catch up with the ALE team at their stand and to see the fantastic innovations they have up and coming over the next year.

“It was great to be meeting with people face to face again and discussing each other’s technologies – all in all Trip Advisor four stars” – Jay Ouwehand
