The background story
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise is a global organisation. At the beginning of each year, they hold ‘Connex’ – where sales teams, resellers, partners, and analysts come together to share the business vision and cement relationships, across four days of presentations around strategy, innovation, and business priorities.
In 2019, Connex took place in Monaco. In 2020, Dubai – and in 2021, there were thousands of different locations; as delegates attended a virtual event, in the comfort of their kitchen, spare bedroom, or home office – via an NTT Platform.
What did Fox Agency do?
Our challenge was three-fold:
- Following a competitive pitch, we were appointed to create the visual concept for the entire event. Our solution was consistent with brand guidelines, but also formed a distinctive and versatile identity in its own right.
- Plan, organise, and manage the entire production process, including scripting, directing, editing and rendering literally dozens of individual presentations and videos; and bringing everything together as a seamless event.
- Handle the event comms, including PR and social – making sure that we promoted a consistent, positive, coherent message to our global audiences – customers, partners, analysts and industry and vertical media, worldwide.
A lot of late nights and short weekends, which ultimately paid off with a hugely successful event. One which was memorable for all the right reasons, while proving the case for large-scale virtual events in the future. Headline figures include: Overall delegate satisfaction of 98%; 32,000 event interactions; and 165 pieces of PR published with a total of 2.6million unique visitors.
Oh, and our event partners, NTT were kind enough to describe the event design and co-ordination as ‘the best they’d ever worked with’.
