The challenge
January 2023 – global automotive giant, BorgWarner announced its intention to spin-off its fuel injector systems and aftermarket businesses into a new entity – PHINIA.
With Fox Agency appointed to handle the entire global launch in record time; our challenge was big. Fortunately, our approach was full of energy, experience and expertise, creativity, collaboration, and a commitment to making it happen – whatever it takes!
Our solution
Our remit was vast… from pre-launch investor days and investor relations, to creating and coordinating the global launch – including brand roll-out across 20 sites in 14 countries worldwide. Creation of brand assets, collateral, videos, social content, website content, brand imagery, creation and coordination of internal comms for 13,500 employees worldwide and executing the big launch on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE – ticker symbol: PHIN).
For the NYSE launch itself, our global tech PR team coordinated interviews and opportunities for key executives with US, UK and global media on launch day, alongside ongoing messaging, and profiling.
The outcomes
A big launch for a global leader – including full media coordination of a manic launch day on NYSE and almost 1,000 media mentions centred around PHINIA’s commitment to clean fuels as a route to carbon neutrality.
A successful launch across 14 countries encompassing 13,000+ employees. And, with the share price rising by 35% within the first few days of trading, there were no-doubt some happy investors!
